  • The KCC learning platform Scils have a couple of online (free) courses on diabetes. To access sign up via this link and use the code 490KECC to set up your log on. There is also a training session that in-house trainer can access include evidence books.

For managers looking at delegating insulin management to front line workers there are a number of resources:

  • NHSE/I and Diabetes UK has released a Delegation of Insulin framework
  • A number of webinars on delegating of insulin (The webinars that directly relate to delegation into social care are from Tameside and Glossop (Webinar 1), Shropshire (Webinar 3) and Sheffield (Webinar 5)
  • Skills for Care resource on delegating health tasks - two short guides which are aimed primarily at adult social care employers, managers and care workers working in care homes.
